Not blocking on this bug for final ship. Would take a safe enough patch if one comes through.

Duplicate of bug 408421?
(In reply to comment #3) > Duplicate of bug 408421? this is different since that bug involves the user choosing File / Import, while this bug is about the initial migration wizard. Btw, while fixing bug 474582 (and with that patch applied) i was still seeing default bookmarks after importing from IE7, i did't try Opera though, would be interesting see if this is still valid (clearly after bug 474582 is fixed)

Tomcat could you try migrating from Opera? This should be wfm i think.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
