when reaching french free webmail access page, FF becomes frozen : animated advertising are frozen and I can not close FF program anymore, except through the windows task manager.
The odd is that when moving the mouse or typing character on keyboard, the adverts get animated again, but I never get the next page (after having typed login and password)
Note that FF is using 99% of CPU ressources on this page (Internet Explorer as well, but animation are not frozen with it)
I do not have any problem with any other internet page, and do not have this problem with IE.
Note as well that it seems that problem is linked to advert on the right of the page, since advert at the bottom of the page is first displayed and animated, until 2nd advert is displayed
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go on frech free homapage (http://www.free.fr/)
2. click on "WebMail" at the top of the page
3.
Actual Results:
- page is displayed with frozen adverts (as soon as both advert as displayed),
- entering login and password do not allow to get next page
- FF can not be closed from "X" buttom at the right top
Expected Results:
- page is displayed with animated adverts,
- entering login and password allows user to get next page with its mail
- FF can be closed from "X" buttom at the right top
do not hesitate to contact me if you need additional information

Free has changed its french webmail access page (removing adverts that caused the problem), so it is no more possible to reproduce it with this page.
After having discussed with some guys on internet forum, it seems that it was caused by a bad-implemented flash advertising.
The problem may occur again on this or on other page -> I change the severity to "Normal"
Severity: major → normal

This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
