User-Agent: Opera/9.50 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Build Identifier: 18.104.22.168 20071022 Changes I make to the Subscribe dialog for Gmail IMAP folders (which correspond to labels) don't seem to affect anything. This is important because many users keep a lot of labels, typically more than they would folders, due to the fact that multiple labels can be applied to a message. This ends up taking up a great deal of space on the left pane. The problem is further aggravated by the fact that the folders do not appear under the INBOX folder, as they typically do in IMAP accounts, but rather directly under the account, such that there is no way to collapse the tree without obstructing access to the Inbox itself. All of this colludes in pushing other accounts off the visible screenful in the pane, such that even determining whether there are any new messages is no longer possible without first scrolling to see the other accounts. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a Gmail account (may need to add some labels) 2. Right-click on the account in the left pane, choose Subscribe 3. Uncheck any of the folders, hit OK Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: Unsubscribe (no longer display) the unchecked folders I've only tested this with Gmail IMAP accounts. I use TB on a bunch of different computers, and this is a problem across all of them.
Unsubscribe is perhaps not supported yet by Gmail IMAP. > http://groups.google.ms/group/Gmail-POP-and-Forwarding/browse_thread/thread/1110ad6e8a6dc8ec Get IMAP protocol log, and check real protocol level flow first. See Bug 402793 Comment #1 for getting NSPR log. Many forum pages of complaint like yours are found by Google search with "Gmail IMAP unsubscribe". No description/explanation about unsubscribe at Google or Gmail sites? > but rather directly under the account No way to make "label of Gmail(==mail folder of Gmail IMAP)" hierarchical?
-> INVALID Folder subscriptions are specifically an unsupported feature: https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78761&topic=12762
