Did you install using the installer, or auto-update? Try the full install if you haven't already, also try -safe-mode
I tried the safe mode and installed the latest from the FTP-Server ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly
Ok now it works fine. I deinstalled TB und installed the latest new.
