413635 - FF.3.0b3rc2 & FF.3.0b3rc1 do not print

I download the FF.3.0b3pre every day from tinderbox or nightly/latest-trunk-l10n.

since the 21-01-2008.18h02 version I cannot print.
the dialog box used to be: http://www.grappa.univ-lille3.fr/~gonzalez/nonarchive/ff3-print-oui.png
now it is: http://www.grappa.univ-lille3.fr/~gonzalez/nonarchive/ff3-print-non.png
and the print button ("imprimer" in french) is no more activated.

I kept older versions, I re-tried several times :
* these versions went wrong : 21-01-2008.18h02, 22-01-2008.04h29, 22-01-2008.11h03, 22-01-2008.23h35
* these versions were ok : 14-01-2008.19h02, 17-01-2008.18h05, 18-01-2008.08h08, 20-01-2008.18h34, 21-01-2008.03h25, 21-01-2008.03h25

I use 2 computers : 
* one is at my home, it seems to not have the problem (i get the second dialog screen, but th "print" button is activated)
* one is at work. it has the problem.

the both are on linux mandriva 2007.spring.

at work the printers are on the intranet, managed by a cups server on linux ubuntu

I said that that my home computer seemed to not get this problem.
it is false.
it got the problem but in another way: the "print" button is activated, every thing seems to be ok, the print goes to the cups print queue. 
but that's all. 
nothing is never printed.

Am I the only one to get this problem ???

I found today that when I choose "cover page", the cover page is printed, and nothing else...
It seemed that FF does not find anything to print in pages.

Since the 21st of january I can't print with none of the  Minefield versions that I downloaded.

I kept the previous versions, and they are working fine.
All the versions since 01/21/2008 don't print. Everything else is OK, but no printing is possible.
It is the same for 3.0b3rc1 and 3.0b3rc2.

Is there anybody who read this ?

I can print complete pages in Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020513 Firefox/3.0b3 (fonts look a bit wacky though), but printing selections results in a blank page.

The 'print to file' functionality always insists on a *.ps filename, even when pdf is selected.

I appreciate that some progress is being made in Linux print support, but right now it feels half-finished at best and thus a regression over 2.0.

I just printed to file:
There is no "showpage" in the PS-file
So: No page on the printer!

O.K.

I was wrong:

the head of the PS file is BAD!!!
%PDF-1.4^M

and not sonething like:
%!PS-Adobe-2.0

so the printer gets a PDF file and not a PS file!

Sorry to be wrong. The pdf checkbox was on, but a *ps was created (see related bug)

So ignore #5 and #6 please!

But the has to be a selection to select level 2 or level 3 Postscript, as even latest pronters does not use PS Level 3.

b4pre as in firefox-3.0b4pre.de.linux-i686.tar.bz2 dated Feb 27.
is fine on printing.

sorry : no. I just tried with the "Feb 28, 13:58" version...

it works fine on my home computer, with an inkjet printer.
but NOT with my office one, with network laser printers.

it could really be related to PS/PDF : my inkjet printer does not need PS, but the office printers need PS... 

it could be ????

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.10 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
