Build Identifier: lightning-0.8 N 2008-01-18 0420.xpi
With receiving and opening an invitation by mail (TB) no details about the event are displayed if the sender doesn't explicitly add those details to the body of the mail.
The opened mails requires to ACCEPT/DECLINE the invitation before processing to Lightning view showing the event details.
(Yes there is a way to show the event with Notepad etc, but that can't be the solution!)
This behavior is a BLIND ACCEPT/DECLINE which is not a good application setup. Also AFAIK with current versions there is no way to "resend" an answer to change the status.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Expected a detailed listing of all relevant items in the mail body like this:
You received this invitation which requires to ACCEPET / DECLINE:
SUMMARY:Calendar Test Day

DESCRIPTION:
Everyone is welcome to attend and help us test Sunbird and Lightning.

This situation should be fixed before release 0.8

I'd like you to check if View -> Display Attachements Inline is enabled.
As far as I know this used to work in Lightning 0.7. Can you narrow down the regression range to the last nightly build that works resp. the first nightly build that fails? Do you see any calendar related error messages in the Error Console?
OK, I see the point:
First the "View -> Display Attachements Inline" makes it, but requires the content type set to somewhat like: Content-Type: text/calendar;
With earlier LG versions I remember the mail didn't showed detail, but required the ACC/DEC buttons.
0.8pre seems to stick on that Content-Type.
OK, to mark it as "fixed"
