When trying to use Spell check via Firefox, it does not correct all words notably in error.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Right click box and select spell check this field.
2.The incorrect word does not correct, but the red underline disappears.
3.
Actual Results:
The red underline word that highlights in spelling error disappears and not actually correcting the word.
Expected Results:
Does not give you options to use proper words or suggested words to use.
Does not automatically correct simple and most common word or word usage.

The intended use of that button is to "toggle" spell-checking. When it is clicked, you are in fact disabling spell checking for that field. Re-clicking that button would enable it again.
INVALID - Someone else please correct me if I'm incorrect. But hovering over the button to begin with, puts an "x" on that button therefore making me believe that I am correct.

You are right in saying that the button is "toggle" spell checking.
However it does not correct any word that is in error.
So whats the point if having this option if it only does half the work?

This is by design: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Using+the+spell+checker
This bug is valid to the extent that the feature is not sufficiently discoverable, documented, etc. AFAICT release notes and marketing materials that mention this feature for 2.0 don't make any mention of how to use it. (and mentions for beta relnotes / whatsnew are limited to new OS X integration from the switch to widget:cocoa)
This should be a no brainer for most who have used a modern word processing app (most of them have a similar inline spell check UI with click on word for suggestions) but idk about everyone else (or even how many we can expect to not have used a modern word processor).

This is fixed on trunk already, where the option is "Check Spelling".
It's not going to be fixed on branch.
Resolving some combination of WFM, INVALID and WONTFIX. :)
Please feel free to file follow up bugs on our website component about improper marketing of the feature.
