When starting Thunderbird, the folder list on the left side no longer has accessibles. JAWS only tracks it by watching the highlighted text. It's definitely broken in the 2008012804 build, will find the exact regression range shortly.
Additional information: If I start a debug build of Thunderbird, I get accessibles for the Folder Tree and its items. it is only when I run a Release build that it fails. It also only seems to fail with JAWS, Mick reports that NVDA doesn't suffer from the problem.
I just found out that this was caused by an incompatible Lightning/Thunderbird pairing. The version of the Lightning extension that I have in my profile is about the same age as my regular Thunderbird build (November 27, 2007), but when run with newer Thunderbird builds, causes a crash, or the a11y tree not exposed for the folder list, and possibly other kinds of problems as well. Once disabled, the crashes and this bug go away, so it will probably also go away once I update to a new version of TB and Lightning that are in synch. Setting to Invalid.
