Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start downloading any file. Actual Results: The Downloads window is empty Expected Results: Should show current and past tasks. I copied contents of the official nightly build for Jan. 28 2008 over the previous nightly build, whatever it was. That's when the problem began, and refreshing the installation with the Jan. 29 build didn't help.
I've been seeing this too, but I haven't had a chance to look into it.

While I can reproduce the problem, somebody should give me a way to produce enough information for devs to fix this.
Is it 100% reproducible to you? What do you mean by "I copied contents of the official nightly build for Jan. 28 2008 over the previous nightly build"? What contents are you referring to?
I can reproduce this problem with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008012904 Minefield/3.0b3pre . The download appears if the download manager is open when I start it. If the download manager isn't open, the download doesn't appear. I don't ever see history entries in the DM.
Yes, 100% reproducible. The Downloads window opens but contains nothing but the search text field. I copied files contained by the zip file (firefox-3.0b3pre.en-US.win32.zip) over existing installation.

Target Milestone is set to Firefox 3 beta 4?! The download manager seems like a major function of a browser to me. Or is there not going to be beta 3?
I see this in the error console Error: Component returned failure code: 0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsIDOMJSWindow.setTimeout] Source file: file:///C:/Junk/firefox/components/nsHelperAppDlg.js Line: 421 The status bar also does not display download info anymore.

Are these from hourlies, or the previous nightly?
I'm assuming hourly, in which case, comment 9 is probably bug 414743
Upgrading with a Feb 02 build from http://www.wg9s.com/mozilla/firefox/ has fixed the problem. And it also eliminated other problems I had: Profile Manager being empty, sidebar causing assertion error message, etc. It seems like there's a problem with upgrading dev builds.
