This has been broken for some time now, at least on linux. the http: URLs in those menus work fine. This blocks smoketests, not to mention any QA via those pages.

I saw this with 06/04 build on linux. (actually sujay pointed me to this problem). But I do not see this today. I can load webpages fine. Things seem pretty fine with today's linux build.
Jeremy, if u still see this, pls provide a specific url for this problem. I tried a few links and they worked fine.
We cannot reproduce with June 05 commercial or mozilla builds. Marking [dogfood-].

Still does not work. Using a clean profile, tested with 06/05/08 (todays) and yesterdays. As I've said, it's been around a month since this has worked on linux. Works fine on win98. Shrir *was* seeing it. You don't anymore, with a clean profile? Here's what actually happens. I go to one of the said URLs, say, Debug/Viewer Demos/#2 Images. To progress bar does the barbershop pole thing and just sits there. When i hit stop, it prints out: Document: Done (144.218 secs) Error loading URL resource:///res/samples/test2.html If I paste that URL in and try to load it, same effect... Puting in "resource:///res/" works, and it changes it to "file:///home/jmd/moz/latest/res/" and loads that as normal. I'm experiancing other, strange problems with some other items in the debug menu, now that i try them all. Debug/XPToolkits/Tree and Tab are reloading the current web page I'm at. color picker and dialog work the rest get stuck in barber mode.

This works just fine for me, pchen, and pinkerton with out linux builds from this morning. Maybe this is some kind of packaging issue with the commercial bits. If it still happens there, re-open the bug to the build team.

shrir and I are still seeing this. With todays linux build, all the viewer demos render a file: type layout, with the name and last modified columns, and the progress bar stops at 67%.

I have a commercial Linux build from today that loads these URLs just fine. I don't see the problem. If you want to re-open the bug, then re-open it to someone on the build or even the layout team. Thanks.
