You can remove it by choosing View->Toolbars->Customize . It's only the default location that changed.

I'm not able to do that: 1) click customize on navigation bar -> home button is not available in selection 2) home button is available on the bookmarks bar -> however home button cannot be dragged from there Could you explain how you do it? Also- please reopen the bug- I'd request to move the button back. This change in location is inconvenient.

Did you try safe-mode?

Tried safe mode: - can move home button to navigation toolbar - when restarting though (safe mode or not) home button is back in bookmarks toolbar Any idea?

I'd first try to find out what extension caused the problem and uninstall or disable it. Then I'd try removing or renaming localstore.rdf in the profile after making a screenshot of the toolbar settings. Maybe then you can re-add the problematic extension. If nothing works a new profile could help.

At my two PCs, the problem was the "Update Scanner" extension. When it was enabled, the whole toolbar was some kind of locked. Perhaps this (and some other?) extensions use a invalid way to add their toolbar icons.

Found it- it's the Mouse Gestures plugin (currently not compatible with FF3). Would still like to see the home button back in navigation menu. If not- please close as invalid.
