I understand that Thunderbird 3 is in development with an "improved search". PLEASE, PLEASE look at the search engine in Eudora now that Mozilla has Eudora, and implement its features in Thunderbird 3. The search engine in Eudora is so thorough yet customizable that I cannot see a way to improve on it. You can search the entire email "tree" or just selected "mailboxes" with highly customizable parameters. I have over 100 "mailboxes" and over 6 years of emails and I use Eudora's search feature frequently. I WANT to switch to Thunderbird  --  but I am staying with Eudora simply because of its invaluable search features. Thank you for considering my request.
