Alert message "unable to write to email mailbox. Make sure system allows you write privileges & you have enough disc space to copy the mailbox." It just started in bellsouth pop mail server. no mail can be retrieved. however I can send mail from the address and it saves sent messages. It works fine with my compuserve email address (imap). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click get mail - happens every time, same alert message 2. 3. Actual Results: same alert every time I click get mail tab please help!! I really need to access my email!
Are you trying to access your e-mail from inside the webbrowser? If so, have you tried calling Bellsouth and asking their customer support. It sounds like an issue with your mailbox and that site rather than with Firefox.
I have the same bug happening to me with my gmail account. I cannot download any email at all - tried rebooting - nothing. Same message comes up every time I either start up or try to "get messages". Exactly the same message as the person above.
This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here.
