To reproduce this bug:
- Open Bookmarks Manager (Library)
- Try to delete all folders and bookmarks by pressing the del key. Some folders don't seem to disappear.
- Close the bookmarks manager
- Do an import of a bookmarks file (for example the one I attached here).

Expected result:
- The imported bookmarks should show up in the bookmarks manager.

Actual result:
- The imported bookmarks don't show up in the bookmarks manager.

Hi Dietrich, this is what I was talking about.
It seems to happen because of trying to delete on folders that don't seem to delete at first, but when you reopen the Bookmarks Manager, are gone.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
