User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 I could not get my css changes to apply to a website. It appeared to be a caching problem but I cleared cache as well as I run FF with the Web developer extension-> disable cache enabled. Additionally, the Firebug extension shows the results of this as well. When inspecting a page, Firebug shows the line number and the filename of the location of the selector so you can find it easy. Well, Firebug was showing some random string of 20 characters or so with a css extension as the filename. Also, the *edit css* feature of web developer was not showing the css styles properly so they could be edited. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: navigate to a web site you develop and look at the css in firebug or web developer.
This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
