User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; it; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071204 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Lightning 0.7 build 2007102303 It would be interesting to have a -showdate option like in sunbird Reproducible: Always Expected Results: typing f.e. thunderbird -showdate 20080206, the (existing) thunderbird window is opened and displays that date
There seem to be problems with adding command line handlers to Thunderbird. See e.g. discussion in Bug 359807.
I would agree to handle this in bug 359807. Post a request to Philipp there, because he is currently working on this.

@Alberto: do you agree to close this as dup of bug 359807?
(In reply to comment #3) > @Alberto: do you agree to close this as dup of bug 359807? > As far as a showdate=YYYYMMDD option (and task=XXXXXX, and so on) will be implemented in bug 359807, yes (but I see that for now there is only a -calendar option with view selection). It depends on what you are going to implement...
Moreover, I would like to test your patches, but I'm not a geek or a programmer... Where can I found a good .mozconfig file and a complete list of dependencies to compile lighting? I currently use Ubuntu 8.04 Thanks Alberto
(In reply to comment #4) > It depends on what you are going to implement... Setting dependency.
Depends on: 359807
