When using Mozilla Firefox 3 beta 2 it suddenly vanishes from my task bar.
Reproducible : sometimes

When i have to get it back i have to go to task manager and chooses it again as it is not visible on the task bar. I think when i have too many icons on task bar it vanishes suddenly.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Just open Mozilla firefox 3 beta 2
2.Open many windows
3.When task bar is full it just disappears.
Actual Results:
window disappears sometime when task bar is full.

Expected Results:
Window is supposed to be visible all the time. User just is left to understand that he has somehow closed the window.
Are you running any kind of windows customization software like winblinds or something?
I see that this usually happens when i have many Mozilla windows of a older version. No i haven't installed any windows enhancers, as i see this at my work location. I keep my computer clean from unwanted software.
Ok, in Windows XP, the windows just collapse into one tab on the task bar. I just opened 25 windows and I have one taskbar entry with 25 windows. No disappearance, so Works for me. I've tried this a couple times, still not reproducing.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121120 Firefox/3.0b2

Can you still Alt-Tab to those windows? If not you may actually have crashed Firefox and you did lose all the windows. If this is the case, it'd probably be some kind of Firefox extension or content on some page that is causing you to crash your browser.

Bugzilla is really not the best place to ask for technical support; it is a tracking system for actual bugs in various Mozilla products. If the problem only happens on your computer or with a particular website, you should look into technical support resources. A number of resources are available for Firefox at: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/ . In particular, you can get help with your question by searching the Knowledge base, or asking on our forums: http://support.mozilla.com/forum or using the newsgroup: mozilla.support.firefox or using the #firefox IRC chat room: irc://irc.mozilla.org/firefox

Since bugzilla is here to help developers improve the product, basic troubleshooting can be really helpful even if this really is a bug. The person working with you can help confirm the issue and help in writing a much more descriptive and helpful bug report so developers can more easily make the fix.
It is not reproducible, it is intermittent.
Does this still happen in firefox 3.6.6 or later in a fresh profile?
