User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 firefox recently updated itself on my laptop. In doing so it has done something to my ipass and stopped it from working. It keeps crashing or wont search for available networks Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open ipass 2. 3. Expected Results: wont search for wireless networks
Not being able to find websites is probably a firewall issue. You need to reconfigure your firewall for the updated version. The permission for the previous version will not do. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls If you experience also crashes this could be caused by an incompatible add-on. Start Firefox in its safe-mode to find out if this is the case. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) More crash info and possible causes: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes
http://www.ipass.com/support/support_troubleshooting.html what's actually crashing? firefox or ipass? if it's ipass, please contact ipass.
This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
