Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080207 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.6 (20071022) I created a CDROM with all my "Local Folder" structure. I created an profile with a Local Folder path pointing to the mounted CDROM. When choosing this profile, Thunderbird loops and display nothing. If I copy the CDROM content to my hard disk and make my "Local Folder" path pointing to this copy it works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a cdrom with the Local Folder directory 2.Create a profile with a "Local Folder" path pointing to the mounted CDROM 3.Launch Thunderbird with that profile Actual Results: 4.TB loops endless Expected Results: Just read the archive This is not a setting problem : when I copy the archive on a RW media, it works. The idea was to make one archive/year and to be able to read archived mails directly from the CD. Apparently TB tries to update some files on the CD and fails....
Tried on a Linux box (Debian stable & Ubuntu 7.10 ) and windows XP pro SP2
