Unchecking default setting has no effect

Details
When creating a new card the default is "Send as html mail".Uncheck this box;
select the entry and click New Mail.
//note: you still get an html compose window even though you've selected Plain
text settings

I might be wrong about this but I think this checkbox doesn't mean whether to
use html vs plaintext compose. I think it means that if you compose a message
in html that it should send it to the user as html and not bother asking you if
you want html, html and plaintext, or just plaintext when it tries to convert.
Try 4.7 and you should see this behavior.

You're right.It is about how to send (html,html & plain or plain) not how to
