Launch an executable using the XUL API nsIProcess.run() on a 64 bit Vista environment using firfox version 22.214.171.124 or above (Note: Mark the executable as requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" using a manifest file) Actual Results: The XUL API nsIProcess.run() throws an exception Expected Results: The executable should run. (Note: Mark the executable as requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" using a manifest file) Work-arounds ------------ 1. Right-click the Mozilla Firefox EXE or its shortcut and select "Run as administrator" from the context menu. 2. Right-click the Mozilla Firefox shortcut and select properties. Click the advanced button (Shortcut Tab) and check the "Run as administrator" checkbox. 3. Right-click and select properties.
