unavailable = hang? and you must restart thunderbird?

I use hibernate daily with a dell laptop. The only time I've had trouble, recently, is when I put thunderbird offline and bring it back online without a network connection up.

Similar phenomenon with Firefox on Windows Vista Home upon Suspend/Resume are reported to some other bugs.

(Q1) MS Windows XP Home edition?
(Q2) When problem occurs, what does "NETSTAT -b -o" say?
Loss of one loopback connection of loopback connection pair is observed?
(Q3) When problem occurs, can "enter to 'Work Offline' then return to online mode"
     be a aworkaround?
(Q4) Resume is done at same location of Suspend? Or Resume at different location?
(Q5) DHCP is used to determine your PC's IP address?
If yes, your PC's IP address is changed by DHCP after Resume?

What do you mean by "network connection up"?
If it's mean no network card when Resume, it possibly relates to problem of "localhost(127.0.0.1) can't be used when no network card", because loopback connection uses it.
