Here are some dictionary/encyclopedia sites without OpenSearch:
- dir.ir
- mibosearch.com

Feel free to add more sites.

What should we do about these sites?  Should we contact their owners and offer help in creating OpenSearch plugins and the required specs in their websites?  If yes, then please specify if you have a contact in the web dev team for any of those sites.  Or maybe this bug is filed with an evangelistic point of view?

Examples of Persian web sites not providing OpenSearch plugins are easy to find.  Roughly all Persian web sites are included in this category!  ;-)

The following come to my mind:
- IRNA.ir
- ISNA.ir
- FarsNews.ir
- MehrNews.ir
- Parseek.com
- Farsilookup.com

All this said, I'm all to help all of these web sites to implement OpenSearch.  :-)  It's a relatively easy spec to implement, and it's very convenient for users.

This bug has seen no movement for the last 3 years. It is too broad in scope. 
Is there anyone against closing it?
Or at least it should be a meta bug with dependencies to each specific sites.

I don't think this bug serves any purpose any more.  And opensearch never really caught on.  :-)
