QA Contact: search → fast.find
Summary: idea: "find in this page bar", show me options while i'm clicking → Autocomplete in the find bar based on what words appear in the page
something like dabbriv-mode in emacs, I assume.
Product: Firefox → Toolkit
I think he means the following: 1. Click Edit> Find or Ctrl-F 2. Type part of the word you want to look in the page. 3. A drop down list will appear for suggested words based on the contents of the displayed page.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THE AUTO COMPLETE TO DISABLE IT AS IT IS AUTOMATICALLY ENTERING THINGS WHEN I HAVE ALREADY STARTED TYPING IT SUCH AS USERNAME ETC. IT NEVER DID THAT BEFORE WITH THE OLDER VERSIONS. I NEED TO DISABLE THIS FEATURE AS IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND UNNECESSARY :(
REALLY NEED A QUICK FIX TO THIS PLEASE
This is not something we will implement in the short or long term. If you feel this issue was closed in error, please feel free to re-open.
