You mean a check mark? Which menu item? Edit > Find?
yes: Edit>find in this page
Interesting idea. Do you know any other apps that do this for temporary toolbars such as the Find bar? Safari on Tiger doesn't, fwiw.
no (i find it while testing firfox)
Marking as enhancement. A little looking around: most modal (traditional dialog box) finders don't do this even if the dialog box is active and hidden behind the main window. It's an interesting idea though. Alternatively, give an option to in View>Toolbars or in Toolbars>Customize have the find toolbar as a constant on every page and check that when the Find Toolbar is up.
Hello, I just found your old idea for an enhancement and think this is solved with the "magnifying glass" in the new UI layout. You can move this symbol to every place in the menu bar. can you just think about it and give a short feedback? maybe we can finaly close this old report.
Closed, because of missing feedback please feel free to reopen this bug-report if you have additonal information on it.
