How are you changing selected engines while the context menu is open? > 6. the user select engine > 7. new tab is open with the new search So what's the bug? What are the expected and actual results? Need more information.

Impossible. You can't have 2 menus open at once.
Marking it an enh for now, feel free to make it WONTFIX. The what's wanted is if you have the wrong search engine chosen in the search bar, and you select search text, you can execute your search immediately after changing the search engine... so the context menu doesn't close. I'm pretty sure you can't have the context menu open and click ANYWHERE else and keep it. It's a pretty strong break from standard context menu UI.
