Places Organizer should not have a window title/caption "Library".

when you open the places organizer via "show all bookmarks.." the window that is opened has a title/caption of "Library".

this is confusing as this appears to be the only place in the gui that calls places/bookmarks the library.

i suggest the window should be renamed "Bookmarks", or "Bookmarks Organizer".

hrm.

it still seems very strange to me that the only place "library" is used is in the window title.

it seems to be disjointed from the menu options that you use to open it.

perhaps the window caption should also show the current section:

  "Library - History"
  "Library - Tags"
  "Library - Bookmarks"

this will probably be wontfixed since it's by design, the Library is the name choosen to avoid putting the word "places" into the UI since many languages does not have a valid translation for places.

That bug contains all of our rationale.  Places was only meant to be an internal name for the feature.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
