Can someone please confirm this?
I bet that's coming from app.update.url.manual = http://www.mozilla.org/products/%APP%/ Didn't look at how %APP% is substituted but I'm willing to guess that it comes out of way branding works for nightlies. In particular, if you want the executable to be firefox.exe (and that is wanted for some reason I can't recall), then you'll end up with firefox the URL. That said, I don't think this is a very big deal, and highly unlikely to get fixed before Fx3 comes out.

This is controlled by a pref and would need to be fixed in Firefox itself and not in app update so moving to Firefox -> Preferences. btw: the pref for release builds is http://firefox.com
