User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020514 Firefox/3.0b3 Visiting http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk or seemingly even http://www.famfamfam.com causes Firefox to crash. I think it might be related to the gigantic size of the page (which can be seen if you render the page in Firefox 2). Firebug running under Firefox 2.0.0.12 claims that the main content <div> of the page is ~9,800,000 pixels tall. That is why I reported it here instead of broken websites. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 3 Beta 3 2. Browse to http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk Actual Results: The browser crashes, the "send feedback to Micro$oft" dialog comes up. Expected Results: Downloaded and rendered the website.
WFM using latest nightly trunk: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008021904 Minefield/3.0b4pre Firefox/3.0 ID:2008021904 Vista HP
wfm with the latest SM nightly Please provide a Breakpad id from "about:crashes"
Cannot replicate the crash on Mac OS 10.5. Page renders normally.
Unfortunately I can't get anything in "about:crashes", since the crash doesn't bring up the Mozilla talkback thing. I'll test it on my Minefield I have on my home PC tonight, and if it works there for me I guess we might as well call it resolved.
WFM now using 2008021704 nightly and 2008021904 nightly builds on the same machine that consistently produces the crash using Firefox/3.0b3. Guess it got fixed somehow. I'll set bug as WFM now, unless someone thinks i should set it to something else.
