User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 I was posting a message there in Spanish using the Spain/Argentina dictionary. When I tried to take it off, the dictionaries were duplicated and I can't switch back. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.I posted a message. 2.I right clicked on the top form that doesn't allow you to switch languages 3.I right clicked on the message box again and the languages were duplicated with more than one selected. Actual Results: English and Spanish appeared twice with Spanish checked off twice. I selected English and 3 languages were checked off with Spanish dominant. Expected Results: English is now the selected language. It seems to understand both languages, I guess.

Works for me. I don't see this bug. Has this bug happened more than once? Does this series of steps make it happen every time for you? Does this have anything to do with this particular page or does it happen for any web page, such as this current page (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418781)?
It seems to happen randomly to any box that can be spell checked. I haven't had the problem recently.
I just got this issue in Fx 4 final, after a restart I am not able to reproduce anymore though, so can't provide any useful steps to reproduce.
Check this for checking several languages simultaneously https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660506
It looks like most problems that users report with repeatedly choosing ONE spell checking language would be satisfactorily solved if the user could once for all setup SEVERAL dictionaries to be used SIMULTANEOUSLY for the languages he can write, among those installed on his system. That is especially needed for e-mail since many people write them in several languages (and that's the way Evolution does it). It seems fairly simple to do, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=676500
I don't think comment 4 and 5 are any relevant here. I anybody of you encounter the problem again, please attach a screenshot. I am not entirely sure where you see the multiple same dictionaries.
