Currently 85 people are signed up to be in the Mozilla devroom at FOSDEM in Brussels (Feb 23/24 2008). Most of us will connect to the free WiFi, attempt to connect to irc.mozilla.org - and run into the usual IP connection limits. According to the people in #fosdem @ freenode, the outside IP address range will be 164.15.0.0/16. If an exemption could be added in advance for that range for this weekend, that'd be splendid. Thanks!
They're using a /16 for the internal wifi? If everyone gets their own IP address, the limits won't matter.

Unfortunately the wifi will be NATed, and then the outgoing IP address(es?) will be somewhere in the /16. As far as I've been able to find out, it's exactly the same setup as last year, and we ran into the limits then, too. (And this year I think there'll be far more of us.) Quoting from IRC: <[reed]> are IPs really pulled from that entire /16 and not just a small part of it? are they really NAT'ing you instead of giving separate IPs? <Digi-God> [reed]: this is ulb ;-) you wouldn't believe what sort of network nonsense we have to deal with :-) <[reed]> crazy <Digi-God> but the chance of anyone other than fosdem being in that /16 over the weekend and wanting to irc is rather small, I think.
OK, done.

I must've reconnected to IRC two dozen times this weekend, and never a connection limit. So this worked perfectly. Thanks! (I assume no followup bug needs to be filed to have the exception removed again?)
