User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020514 Firefox/3.0b3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020514 Firefox/3.0b3

First noticed in Gmail's rich text editor and was able to reproduce it using other rich text editors online.

When typing the word -shouldn't- or -doesn't- into a rich text box, Firefox's spellcheck will consider -shouldn'- as misspelled and will leave the -t- un-underlined. This problem doesn't appear to occur in a regular textarea box.

It also appears that having these types of words (with apostrophes) causes words following to not be checked correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit http://area51.undermined.org/RTE/editor.html or http://freerichtexteditor.com/page/3.htm or see Gmail's rich text email composer.
2. In the rich text box, type: shouldn' or doesn' (no T)
3. Type the t
Actual Results:
shouldn' remains underlined and the T is left alone. It considers it 2 words.
This is a known Hunspell bug with unicode apostrophes, correct Nemeth?

This is the bug of the text tokenizer of Mozilla.
Also need a fix here for abbreviations with periods (etc.)

English dictionaries contain words with apostrophes. (You are right, words with Unicode apostrophes have missed yet, but with Hunspell, there is no reason to use 8 bit dictionaries instead of Unicode ones.)
