This bug affect only the "newsgroups" part of Mail/News.

Currently, newsgroups are displayed as m.s.thunderbird (mozilla.support.thunderbird), c.d.x.fox (comp.databases.xbase.fox), etc.: all components except the last one are abbreviated to their first letter. There is no tooltip at mouseover. The only ways to see the full name are (AFAIK):

* for one newsgroup at a time, select it: the full name appears in the titlebar.

* for all newsgroups on a given server, trigger the "Subscribe..." menu.

IMHO, a tooltip showing the full newsgroup name would be a valuable addition.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hover the mouse over an abbreviated newsgroup name in the left (newsgroups and folders list) pane.

Actual Results:  
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:  
A tooltip should appear, displaying the full unabbreviated newsgroup name.
