When you perform a find in Camino (at least as of build 2008022300), when you enter text in the find field, it is highlighted after the search is performed. Therefore, if you want to enter more text, you will overwrite was is in the field. This is *VERY* bad. The find field should perform like Safari's. You should be able to type characters with any arbitrary delay and have it append them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a website
2. Apple-F
3. Type a few characters
4. Wait 2 seconds
5. Verify the field is highlighted and that any new keystrokes replace the text


Expected Results:  
Characters should be appended (don't select the text)

In the future, please file bugs using the version of Camino that you are reporting the bug against (and if you were using Camino, you should really stop spoofing; 1.6 nightlies include an up-to-date comparable Firefox version in the UA, which is much more likely to work for sites looking for Firefox than claiming to be using a 2+-year-old version of Firefox--which some sites will ban based on security or compatibility concerns).

The Camino build number is clearly listed in the description.

I spoof FF 1.5 for work purposes; enterprise webapp stuff. Regardless, I wouldn't chastise a user for using a non-Camino browser when reporting a bug since any good reporter is going to put the version in their description anyway.

People who do remember to manually enter version information do so in varying degrees of detail, in various formats, and in various places in their reports, making triaging more difficult, which adds up for those of us who deal with pretty much every single report that is filed against Camino.

I'm sorry that you interpreted my polite request that you follow our standard practices to make the triaging process smoother in the future as chastisement.

Spoofing user-agent strings is a horribly bad idea in general. *When filing bugs*, please do not spoof your user-agent string. (You're more than welcome to follow whatever bad habits you wish when you're not filing bugs.)
