Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080129 Iceweasel/2.0.0.12 (Debian-2.0.0.12-1)

When opening a file for an external application to handle
(i.e. a pdf file to be opened in preview) instead of saving the file a temp
directory (as is done is the linux version of firefox), the file is saved to the
Desktop to be opened. There is no option (that I can find) to change this behavior.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on a ".pdf" file link
2.
3.

This happens in every Firefox build I have tried, including the Firefox 3 betas
