With the patch on bug 389931 I'm able to open the menu in other windows. But clicking on any of the entries doesn't fire the command behind it. This only happens under OS X. Running a Windows build this issue isn't visible.

Is it possible to get this at least in the wanted1.9 list?

Did you test this with FF v2 or v3 ?

This patch is v3/Trunk only.

Is this bug a regression ?
Summary: If native filepicker is open menu entries in other windows don't respond → If native filepicker is open, menu entries in other windows don't respond
Sorry, inserted wrong ID. I tested this on Trunk.

As I see now, there is a difference between 10.4 and 10.5. While I'm able to bring an opened window into the front under 10.4 and use its menu, it cannot be done under 10.5. There you will hear a beep only.

Hi henrik, this is a very old issue that might not be relevant anymore today.
If I see this correctly the native File Picker is a window prompt that by definition "While a window prompt is open, the parent window cannot be interacted with". So at this point, I am unable to interact with any part of the browser while it is open.

I am unsure how it was 14 years ago, but could you please take a look at this and see if this bug is still valid?

There might have been a change in behavior in some previous version of macOS. So this indeed doesn't work anymore.
