The one pixel dark grey (#404040) border at the bottom of the tab strip, which separates the tab strip from the content area, gets drawn by the images that make up the tab strip in the new proto theme, which seems unnecessary and makes it difficult for themes to modify that border.

It would be better if the border was drawn by a simple CSS rule (|border-bottom: 1px solid #404040| on the appropriate element) or, if there's some reason that CSS shouldn't be used, by a single 1x1 image stretched across the screen, either of which would be easier for themes to modify.

Requesting wanted-firefox3 for this extensibility improvement. Perhaps this can be done in conjunction with the fix for bug 408294, which will modify many of the images that make up the tab strip.

Also not sure if this is even still true with current theme rev...

This was fixed in B4 as far as I know.
