Say an image i right click on it and click "save link as" but then the download dialog doesnt open nor does the file download. If the file or item is available to download straight up without clicking on it the download dialog appears (the one where it asks you where to save it) and then i click save and nothing happens it doesnt work or download anything. The problem only started a few days ago. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.right click on image or click on file 2.save link as 3.click save Actual Results: Nothing happened went back to browsing file didnt download or anything. Expected Results: should have brought up download dialog so i could choose where to save it and also allow me to open file i downloaded using mozilla firefox 3 beta 3 disabled my add ons too and it still doesnt work.
Sounds like a corruption of the downloads.sqlite file in your profile. You could try renaming the file, Firefox will recreate it on startup. Don't delete it yet, maybe someone wants to investigate the file. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder

It'd be awesome if you could attach your downloads.sqlite file (note we could see what you downloaded, so it could be a privacy issue).

Im not sure what ive downloaded that has caused this corruption, there is some confidential stuff in there so dont exactly want to attach it but yeah renaming the file and firefox creating a new one has solved the problem. If it happens again ill take note of what did it and submit a bug report or add more details to this one. cheers for that :-D

I'm having the Same Issue as of (08-29-2017), but I have done a PC search for "downloads.sqlite", which yielded Zero Results. I even manually searched the Profiles Folder. Nothing.
