In default theme, arrow buttons don't indicate they're menus, and selecting an item just moves one page

The back and forward arrow buttons actually have menus with a recent history attached, so they should have small downward pointing triangles to indicate they have menus. However, when you choose an item from the menu, it just moves one page in the appropriate direction, instead of to the chosen page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Visit a number of pages.
2.Click and hold on the back arrow button until the menu appears.
3.Select an item from the menu other than the first or second.
Actual Results:
The browser goes back one page.

Expected Results:
The browser goes back to the selected page.
There is a dropdown to the right of the forward button. This dropdown menu includes both back and forward history. Hover over an entry and the toolip will let you know if its going to go back or forward a page. Beta 4 will have arrows that indicate which way your going to navigate if you click an entry here. The arrows will replace the favicon on hovering the entry. The other issue should be in its own bug itself....which I'm pretty sure is already filed.
The changes in (at the latest) the released 3.0 make this no longer apply/work fine, so this bug could be closed.
