I did this: View a page, generated dynamicly by PHP. Spot an error, change code
and page gets smaller. "View source" shows arbitrary extra characters after the
closing </html> tag. These chars are parts of the source being displayed, but i
asume they're left there from previous page load.
When mozilla crashes and is relaunched, the same thing happens.
When removing .mozilla directory, page source displays OK.
Testing it on linux/2000060811

->XP Apps

Garbage characters appearing after the closing HTML tag is a known bug.
Reporter: can you provide us with a PHP address so we can determine if this is
a different issue?

I'd love to, but the application is installed in my intranet and is not always
available to the outside world.

I got to see it in page mentioned on URL. I guess it changed between two visits...

I don't quite understand. What do you mean "change code"? Edit the code, save
and review it? We need more indepth instructions to reproduce this or this bug
will continue to lie around unconfirmed...

Please try deleting your entire mozilla directory, including mozregistry.dat,
and using a brand new M17 nightly here with the results.

By change of code I mean change of the PHP code that generates the page. I tried
with file: URLs, but it works. The page i initially got this is one on an
internal webserver. I changed the code that generates it, and the page became
smaller in size. Mozilla's view source had some arbitrary bytes after the
closing </html> tag of the source, that looked like part of the page. I assume
it's something like running over the end of some buffer.

Here's a screenshot of the old&new view. If you check the bottom of the window,
there are two closing </html> tags and between them some lines of repeated code.

Thinking of bug 37552 and bug 39782? (they wound up as wfm).

I've seen this once or twice in view source and a couple of times in webpages
(bug reports specifically)in the last few builds where the page is layed out
with a big repeating section. I thikn it's probably bug 39782 and that should be
