User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; InfoPath.2) Build Identifier: v2.0.0.12 I recently did a clean install of Vista Home Premium and installed Firefox's latest release. Everytime i try to access my University's virtual blackboard site (https://duo.dur.ac.uk), it seems to lock up the PC and the only resoloution is reset it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter page in bookmarks and save 2.Click bookmark in Bookmark toolbar 3.PC Freezes Actual Results: System locks up and PC has to be reset Used to work fine in XPSP2
Firefox can not freeze the whole system because it's a userspace application and only kernel mode drivers and applications can do this. This is either a driver, windows system or hardware problem. It's possible that you get this only with Firefox and only with one special version but it's not Firefox fault. Firefox can only freeze itself and you can kill it with the task manager or it can alloocate all free Ram and make the system slow as hell but you should be always be able to kill the process. -> invalid (no bug in Firefox and there is nothing we can do) BTW: This works for me with Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Windows Vista.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
