Details

Currently, the keyboard shortcuts for switching between tabs on Mac are Ctrl-PageUp|PageDown. This makes the use case of closing selected tabs via the keyboard cumbersome, since you have to use Ctrl-based shortcuts to switch to each tab and then a Command-based shortcut (Command-W) to close them. That use case would be much smoother if the keyboard shortcuts for switching between tabs on Mac were Command-based, and since the Command-based shortcuts aren't being used for anything else, using them doesn't displace any other functionality. There would, of course, be a cost to no longer supporting the Ctrl-based shortcuts, although we wouldn't necessarily have to remove them to implement the new ones. We could support both if we wanted to maintain backwards compatibility.
