User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008030610 Minefield/3.0b5pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008030610 Minefield/3.0b5pre It is impossible to see how the pages are organized without clicking the View button. A View label with a menulist below the search textbox would be much clearer. Reproducible: Always

Alex, is that already covered by another bug or do you have even plans to implement this enhancement?
I disagree with the premise, the view is self describing (seeing a list of sites, seeing a list of dates, etc.) Also we want to minimize the amount of UI so the interface doesn't looked cluttered.
(In reply to comment #3) > I disagree with the premise, the view is self describing (seeing a list of > sites, seeing a list of dates, etc.) Also we want to minimize the amount of UI > so the interface doesn't looked cluttered. > But then a window is popped when one tries to switch tabs in Minefield... Plus, Most/Last Visited order is not something you can guess from the outside. Which is something we should strive. Making things easy for users unrelated to a given user scenario makes those things way easier for the actual user in the scenario.
A much larger issue is that the sidebar is a pretty awful way to actually navigate history, and we really shouldn't be spending any developer resources on tweaking it while competitors are hypothetically off working on thumbnail based zoomable user interfaces with full text search.
Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
