User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Having got XP Pro up & running on internet I installed Firefox (with the unwanted Google toolbat) and cannot remove/disable/uninstall the Google toolbar. Choosing 'Uninstall' from Tools>add-ons>Google_Toolbar_for_Firefox results in a message sayin it will be uninstalled on next firefox restart. Next time I restart Firefox, it tells me you know the only reason I want it is for the Google toolbar and it gets re-installed. (or never gets uninstalled) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install Firefox from web (using 'custom install' - was hoping to avoid the unwanted google toolbar but it's not an option) 2.uninstall Google toolbar in add-ons menu. 3.re-start Firefox and feel peeved about google toolbar. Actual Results: Google toolbar still there Expected Results: No Google toolbar This PC is a new install of XP Pro (SP2 OEM) on a re-built 2nd hand PC. XP is not activated yet (want to sort out any problems first). I don't like the Google toolbar because it's a waste of screen. Google is my home page anyway.
