However, it always opens the link/bookmark in the same tab. I am only able to open bookmarks or links in a new tab if I right-click the bookmark/link and tell it to open it into a new tab via the menu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install latest Firefox with no previous version. 2.Set preferences to open each link/bookmark in a new tab. 3.Try to open any bookmark/link in a new tab. Actual Results: Did not open a new tab with the link/bookmark. Firefox ignores the preference and still opens it in the same tab. Expected Results: The software should have opened a new tab with that link/bookmark in it instead.
You could try this: type about:config in your locationbar, press enter and search for the pref browser.link.open_newwindow , right-click and choose Reset.
