User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: Lightning 0.7 (build 2007102304) with Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 (build 20080213) I live in Caracas, Venezuela. I've set the "correct" timezone (in December, Venezuela changes its timezone to -4:30 GMT). When I set the time for an event, it is displayed 2 hours later than the time I've choose. And when I sync with Google Calendar via GCALDaemon, the events are shifted by an aditional 30 minutes. This is a mixture of a known issue with the timezone, and the special case of current Venezuela timezone Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add an event, with a certain hour (i.e. 12:00pm) 2.After saving, the event is displayed 2 hours later (i.e. at the 2:00pm) 3.Sync with Google via GCALDaemon 4.Google Calendar shows the event shifted by 1:30 hrs (i.e. at the 1:30pm) Actual Results: The events in the Calendar and in Google Calendar are 2 hours and 1:30 hrs shifted from the time I've initially set for it. I get incorrect hours for all the events in my calendar. And I receive the SMS alarms sended by Google calendar at incorrect hours Expected Results: All the hours should be the same I'm using Aquabird Redone, and the Plaxo Toolbar. The Bug still occur with Thunderbird default theme
Lightning 0.8 will ship with updated timezone definitions that might contain the change for Venezuela. I suggest to retest with a 0.8 nightly build from <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/>. This build equals Lightning 0.8 Release Candidate 1 + additional fixes for the upcoming Release Candidate 2 <http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/releases/lightning0.8.html>
Lightning 0.8 contains the latest timezone update for Venezuela, i.e. an offset by -4:30. Felix, feel free to re-open this bug if you still have problems with your timezone settings in Lightning 0.8.
