For several people sometimes the recent urls are not between the dividers. If this happens the items are added to the end of the menu. If you switch between History and e.g. Bookmarks the items are only every second time between the dividers. Once the items are added at the end they are not removed anymore extending the menu even more.

First time mentioned:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3292186#3292186

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the History menu
2. Close the History menu
3. Open the History menu again
Actual Results:
Every second time the items are not between the markers but added to the end of the menu.

Expected Results:
The items are inserted between the dividers every time.

Maybe a regression from bug #419544

Seems now that using 'History' and trying to open visits does nothing, and I see no errors in the console.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
