if i'm not wrong this could be a regression from Bug 409748, if i put back the statustext attribute to the menuitems, the menu works again

I can confirm on WinXP Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008031304 Minefield/3.0b5pre What's worse is that clicking on a history link replicates the list. Perform the bug 5 or 6 times to really see the problem.

That bug is what Marco referred to in the first comment:
>the extend bug in the history menu that should be fixed in the next build
So those are two separate issues.

(In reply to comment #5) > >the extend bug in the history menu that should be fixed in the next build > > So those are two separate issues. exactly, that is bug 422528, these bugs are due to different things, even if they became visible in the same build.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
