422680 - New Mac theme's back/forward background (the sort of bubble) looks bad

It's very bad looking of the sort of the grey bubble at the background of previous/next buttons of the new toolbar's proto theme.
It's not aligned with others fields of the toolbar
it havn't a standard height, it's like a red nose on a face ...
I'm sorry but it will be a lack of tast if you release this version of proto publicly

i think you can throw down this bubble, or give a more lite grey color
because this thing is to reconize the firefox style, and it's good idea 
but it's too much on Mac OS X !

Do you mean the keyhole or the back and forward buttons in small iconic mode? I didn't understood what do you mean in detail.

This is being addressed / may have already been addressed with the landing of Proto v0.14.

There are plans to reduce the height of the etch, as well as the size of the back button on OSX, but they will continue to not be a "standard" height, though there really is no such standard (at least, no such observed standard) on OSX controls FWIW.

You *think* it will be a lack of taste, sure. Aesthetics are hard to get everyone to agree on.

Lightening the etch is also in plan, yes.

Attachment: Current Proto Keyhole Rework

It didn't make the 0.14.1 update but this is what I have locally at present.

So hopefully this, or something very much like it, will make the next 0.15 update to Proto.
