I use Privoxy localhost which operates at localhost 8118.Everytime I set it at the start.If firefox is started freshly or all instances closed ,the settings point to direct connection.Quiet embarassing, ,I find this only in this version of firefox.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Tools Options Network Settings
2.Manual Proxy
3.Localhost 8118


Expected Results:  
It should retain the same detail for every session.

Did you check in about:config after you save the prefs?

look for network.proxy. and see if it still shows up.

Then quit, look at your prefs.js (in your profile) for network.proxy.*

Then startup, look at about:config.
